I know it’s not logical but I’m running on emotion right now. I feel like city hall just took a collective dump in my water supply and everything is tainted. My dishwasher, my shower, my laundry, my garden…and I have to rethink how I do everything. Washing my fruits and veggies, brushing my teeth, making coffee!

I know that I unknowingly ingested fluoride in Calgary before 2011. But I know better now. Society knows better. Science knows better. But knowledge escapes city hall!

I wonder how many in the affected communities who didn’t get a vote are feeling.

Constitutional referendums also needed signatures from 20% of electors in at least two-thirds of Alberta’s electoral divisions.

New Rules: Lowers the threshold for all citizen-initiated referendums (constitutional, legislative, or policy) to 10% of the eligible voters who voted in the last general election (approximately 177,000 signatures, based on voter turnout).
