Just another day of “diversity is our strength” (swipe left):
“#News Massive riots have now broken out in Italy as violent groups of migrants attacked police officers, threw stones, and firecrackers at them, set up barriers and set fires in Piazza del Duomo directly in front of Milan Cathedral.
#muslim
Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini said the rioters were:

"Young street thugs with migrant backgrounds and rotten leftist scum"

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni unleashed her police force who used water cannons and tear gas to put an end to the riots.
#islam
Officials say that the rioters are of 'foreign origin' and second-generation migrants. Palestinian and Albanian flags were being waved during the destruction.

A march organized by the “Italia in Piazza” movement had about 5,000 people come together to protest rising living costs.
#Italy
It started in the center and included Italian tricolor flags along with some Albanian and Moroccan ones. Organizers had called for peaceful action with Italian flags only.

But things shifted as rioters in black clothing and face masks threw stones, firecrackers, metal barriers, tables, chairs, and bottles at police lines, and charged the officers three times, forcing them to retreat.

Cars and buildings were set on fire, monuments were defaced, and stores were looted.

Historic buildings were destroyed and ATM shelters were broken. Tourists and shoppers fled while merchants pulled down shutters.

The difference from France to Italy is that Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni responded with force.

Police in riot gear responded with tear gas, water cannons, and dispersal charges. They eventually cleared the square and pushed remaining groups toward Piazza San Babila and Corso Vittorio Emanuele.

About 50 people detained in Milan, nearly half of them minors.

25 people treated in Milan hospitals, including 10 law-enforcement officers

Prime Minister Meloni said

“Demonstrating is a right. Turning our cities into battlegrounds is not.”

She called the rioters “hooligans who exploit demonstrations to sow chaos, attack those responsible for ensuring security and hold entire cities hostage,” and urged opposition parties to condemn the violence without ambiguity, warning that reticence becomes justification.

Deputy Prime Minister Salvini said the violence was exploitation by far-left extremists and criminal elements from the left-leaning socialists.

As of 1 January 2026, Italy has about 5.56 million migrants in the country built up from decades of left-wing rule that allowed large influxes from Romania, Albania, Morocco through legal channels.

Family reunification, asylum, and naturalizations along with illegal entries soon allowed the migrants to gain control.

In addition, Italy also has one of Europe’s lowest birth rates and an aging population, so natural population decline with massive migrant influxes has changed the dynamics of the country.

Should all countries immediately put an end to all migration from M*slim majority countries?

Besides being confused that none of the questions on the referendum are binding or really addressing any meaningful issues for Albertans (pension, tax collection, policing, equalization), I am confused about the No to the nine crowd. The left is owned by the unions, the teachers union, the nurses unions. The teachers complain incessantly about class sizes and the English as a second language kids and special needs kids. Nurses complain about how busy and how overrun they are in hospital and how healthcare needs to be protected - all concerns deeply impacted by immigration … AND YET… they want to say No to the Nine. So they want to whine but they don’t really want to solve the root cause of the problem that impacts them every day. Nothing drives me crazier than a person who wants to vent and identify problems without any commitment to finding a solution.

What confuses me is to be so blinded by your need to disagree with the conservatives that you would not even think thru the ...

Beautiful, this is what Alberta is all about

And Liberals will never understand it

I met a real "Most Alberta Woman" yesterday in Cremona.

Her name is Alana Miller. She and her husband are cattle ranchers. She showed up in her SUV, with a small child in the back seat. She was still wearing her work clothes. She was in a mild panic.

"Did I miss it? Are you guys closed?"

She desperately wanted to sign the petition. She came prepared with 5 documents to prove her identity and her physical address.

Everyone there was taken aback by her smile and enthusiasm. She is the future of Alberta, and we all knew it.

I asked her if I coud film her, and I'm so glad she agreed.
