THERE IS NO THEM AND US. THERE IS ONLY US!
The UCP and the conservative base in Alberta are healthy, but not as healthy as they should be.
Disagreements are healthy. Internal debates are healthy. Open conversations between grassroots members, party leadership, and elected representatives are essential to a strong political movement.
But what is unhealthy is when people publicly air our dirty laundry, attack one another, discredit each other’s efforts, and create doubt and division among those who share the same cause.
This constant narrative of conspiracy theories, “them versus us,” “we versus them,” needs to stop.
We are all in the same boat, and we all live under the same roof.
If one room in our house is damaged, we repair it. We don’t demolish the entire house because one room needs fixing. We rebuild what is damaged and protect what we have worked so hard to achieve.
To everyone who believes in a strong, free, thriving, and prosperous Alberta, whether within a united Canada or outside of it, I encourage you to stay together.
We may disagree about leadership, strategies, or Alberta’s future, but we have far more in common than what divides us.
To every UCP member and every conservative in Alberta, please remember that the 2027 election is just around the corner.
The 2023 election was a warning sign. I hope we have learned from it and understand how devastating losing in 2027 could be for everything we believe in and have worked toward.
We can disagree without becoming enemies. We can criticize decisions without destroying reputations. We can hold our leadership accountable without tearing our movement apart.
My friends, Alberta is bigger than you, bigger than me, bigger than any leader, party, or organization.
I sincerely hope common sense, maturity, respect, and unity prevail before we cause damage that may be difficult to repair.
We don’t have to agree on everything to stand together for what matters most.
God bless each and every one of you, and God bless our beautiful Alberta.
There is no them and us. There is only US.
If we win, we all win. If one of us loses, we all lose.
United we stand, divided we fall.
