Chaos?!
We, at least those here, see it. So, what does it really represent? It seems to me there is so much chaos going on in society in Canada and Alberta. I’m getting to the point of saying to **** with it all. I’m getting so frustrated at how it feels like nobody is listening. Or is the birthing of a new society? A new culture? I honestly don’t know. Ask me in 10 years.
We see this in so many ways. Take for instance our provincial government which co to urs to get in bed with a federal government to get us the social licence for various projects, primarily energy related so we can develop our own projects. Here it feels like we have to beg and plead just to develop our own projects. As it is TMX is the only company willing to consider another pipeline to the coast. We are not a serious country when a federally owned company, owned by taxpayers I’ll add, is the only company willing to do this. It’s a joke. We continue to chase away investment and it continues to attack our very way of life and our kids futures. Yet, many Albertans support staying as do many of our elected government officials. Our provincial government is fully aware of how much $$ we send to Ottawa yet seems to not care at this imbalance. Why?
Our economy is becoming increasingly dependent on government spending to support it as well. I believe that nearly half our GDP federally is from government spending. This can’t be sustainable. We need less government control and support of our GDP to increase society and the wealth and prosperity of our citizens. Not more. This ratio has been moving more towards the government side of this ratio over the last nearly 20 years I’m sure. I’m getting sick of seeing how socialism is destroying our county little by little, day by day and people don’t see it or care. In fact, some seem to embrace it with open arms. Others, like myself seem helpless.
Here we have a community that is great. Unfortunately it seems like we are preaching to the awake class. That is good to support each other but it seems like the other classes in this school ( the east) aren’t paying attention and won’t pass the test.
I’m sick of it all. Sick. But I don’t know what to do. It feels like we are living in the novel 1984.
Do you?

Here’s something that has confused me lately. We have seen and continue to see the erosion of our rights and freedoms. Some would say this has been going since 2015, and I would agree. It’s even accelerated since MC took power in my opinion. I just don’t understand why so many Canadians don’t seem to see this and seem oblivious to this. I honestly can’t even keep track of the various bills in the last year that attack our rights and freedoms. At times, I feel helpless as I try to raise awareness but it feels like shouting in the wind.
Then there is my family, who either seem oblivious or ignorant to what’s going on. I’m just tired of the fight to be honest. Tired of fighting for things that many in my own extended family don’t see as slipping away.
Well, here’s to a nice day today!!
Shaun Newman interviews Peter Scholtz. I have listened to him before. He has some very good ideas. He speaks about Alberta independence and says Alberta is not thinking big enough.
