I completed Danielle's "Tell me how I'm doing" survey - here's what I filled in the comment box:

"I regretted NOT voting for you in 2012 and ending up with Redford. I DID vote for you in 2022 and helped give you your 91.4% approval rating. But now you are testing my loyalty. Here is what I consider the GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY.


GOOD: To name a few, I absolutely applaud the work you've done protecting our children by removing pornographic books, politics and ideology from schools and libraries, safeguarding female spaces and sports, and ensuring youth can't irreversibly physically harm themselves with "gender" drugs and mutilations. I applaud most of the improvements in healthcare though I would like to see your Healthcare Spending Accounts revisited and more accessible private healthcare options. I applaud the Jordan Peterson legislation. I applaud your electoral and democratic process changes. I applaud your protections and limits to the federal MAiD program.

BAD: The Alberta Bill of Rights is a huge disappointment because of your amendment - Section 4(c)(2) - that reverses the entire intent. And where are our gun rights - right to bear arms? I recently found out about Bill 7 regarding water control in Alberta and I'm not too happy about that - including that it was not publicly discussed. Whatever happened to Right to Try legislation? - including getting ivermectin back on the "nice list"? You have mistakenly abandoned the Alberta Pension Plan - you are wrong, Madam, that there is no "appetite" for it - the only one who has no appetite for it is Ottawa - including Pierre Poilievre who should not be telling you what to do! Another blunder is the installation of halal mortgages. Giving Albertans $100 (Dani Dollars) is not only ridiculous it is a smarmy obvious political move - especially concerning that people have to "register" to receive it. That money should've been used to reduce the debt. Another area of concern is your recent and appalling property tax increase. It's as if you've become a Liberal - spend and debt!

UGLY: Two BIG items come to mind.
1. The MOU with Carney - you are costing Albertans billions of dollars agreeing to a carbon tax and carbon capture. Regardless if we never see a pipeline (which we won't)! You are falling for net zero propaganda and making our industry non-competitive for a debunked climate agenda (https://www.aei.org/articles/rcp8-5-is-officially-dead/).
2. You are using OUR tax dollars to actively campaign against the Alberta independence movement. One minute you are accurately describing all the legitimate concerns of Albertans (https://youtu.be/_ZEqdBbWNXc) then the next you're siding with Carney, Poilievre, Lewis, Nenshi, and Kenney! You should have remained NEUTRAL. I do not approve of my tax dollars being used for a boondoggle carbon sucking machine nor to be used by the Premier I elected for her to campaign against Albertans!

Honestly, Madam Premier, I never thought that I would find myself giving you less than a stellar review, but something has changed with you or maybe I've stopped giving you the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps it's both. We used to refer to you as Alberta's Iron Lady but lately you seem to be rusting.

It's disheartening. I hope you change course. Stop trying to appease people who will never vote for you and you will win back the people who always have."
