Truth and is Hard to believe, but appears people are easily persuaded…..

The most telling lines of PM Mark Carney’s propaganda video of earlier this week were the last two:

”Our Canada Strong plan … it’s already working, let’s keep going,” he said before signing off.

He’d be better off saying: “Look into my eyes … my indoctrination efforts are working. I will keep going.”

This 10-minute video was yet another in a series of Carney gaslighting efforts, full of lies, damn lies and more lies.

Of course, with the help of the compliant legacy media — paid handsomely for their efforts — and an equally dutiful Liberal caucus, the weak-minded have and will lap it all up.

It only takes intellectual insight and a little fact-checking, however, to realize how much Carney stretched the truth.

It’s amazing how excessive hubris will lead one to make claims out of thin air.

He did not create Forward Guidance while Governor of the Bank of Canada during the financial crisis in 2008, as he contended. According to many reports, this economic theory has been used for as long as 75 years to predict future public monetary policy.

That presumably helps influence interest rate and borrowing decisions.

It has had mixed reviews.

To ensure that Canada’s weak-minded keep on track with the Orange Man Bad narrative, so to speak, he repeated for the umpteenth time that the world is “more dangerous and divided” and that the U.S. has “fundamentally changed its approach to trade.”

I’m not sure charging tariffs (the U.S.) to a country (Canada) that has rested on its trading laurels for years and years is a “fundamental change.”

But I suppose the guy who has failed miserably at dealing with U.S. President Donald Trump on the tariff issue and has not negotiated for five months with the U.S. — with the CUSMA negotiations looming — has to do something to make it seem that he’s not in the wrong.

“We have to take care of ourselves because we can’t control the disruption coming from our neighbours,” he said.

It is indeed a predictable tactic of the narcissist to assign blame for one’s own failings to someone else.

Still, his own “crisis” narrative reminds me of the attempts by John Snobelen, education minister in the Mike Harris government back in 1995, who tried to “create a crisis” to shake up the powerful teachers’ unions and to get some unpopular policies through.

Carney has taken a page from Snobelen’s handbook by fixing the attention of Canada’s weaklings on the Big Bad Orange Man and his associates while he engages in his own political “bait and switch” — namel,y his alleged dangerous “deals” with countries like China and those aligned with his WEF values.

What about those “deals”?

Carney claimed pompously in his video that he has signed 20 New Deals in four continents with countries beyond the United States in the past year.

I’m not sure how he defines “deals” but according to my research, only four were binding trade agreements.

The others were investment agreements or partnerships.

The most noteworthy is the signed agreement with Indonesia, which is projected to increase exports to Indonesia by $173-million (US).

Big whoop.

In 2023, Canada exported US$476 billion to its neighbour south of the border. Bet you won’t hear the legacy media raise these kinds of facts and figures.

His Build Canada Homes agency announced last September, which aims to build 4,000 homes on federal lands with a $13-billion cash infusion, is so far a non-starter.

While there are thousands of homes in the pipeline, not one has been completed to date.

In fact, Build Canada Homes is not yet a fully established Crown Corporation. But I’m willing to bet that the agency’s CEO, former Toronto city councillor Ana Bailao, has been making a healthy salary since being appointed to the job last September.

Carney made sure to pat the weaklings on the back when he said they are dutifully buying Canadian and travelling within Canada.

”We have each other…we care deeply about Canada,” he said.

It’s all a pile of malarkey, considering Carney’s family doesn’t “care deeply” enough about Canada to live here.

His wife lives and works in the United States, as do his kids, and he transferred many of his Brookfield operations to the United States.

Bet you won’t hear the highly paid legacy media lemmings pointing out those facts either.

It’s all pure Smoke and Mirrors, designed to distract weak Canadians from his miserable performance so far and pursue his fantasies of being a “leader” in a “new world.”

And what does he care when he has so many teat-sucking former politicians and legacy media types to sing his praises.

People like former NDP Premier Bob Rae, who drove Ontario into near bankruptcy in the 1990s, are on speed dial to prop him up:

Bob Rae: "I wouldn't talk about Mark Carney and Howard Lutnick in the same sentence if I were you. Mr. Carney's tone was respectful. And it was intelligent. I'll let Howard Lutnick’s comments stand for themselves."

As I’ve said before, it angers me that he can so easily gaslight uninformed, lazy-thinking Canadians.

I’m afraid that this old adage, called the illusory truth effect, applies: If you repeat a lie enough, people will believe it.
