Liberal logic: when taxes are added to gas, nothing happens. No impact. Everything is fine. But when gas prices rise due to scarcity, as during a war in Iran, we’re suddenly told it will ripple through the economy and raise the price of groceries and everything else.

Wait a second. If higher gas prices increase the cost of everything else, that is true regardless of the cause. Whether it's taxes or war, the result is the same: higher gas prices. Transportation gets more expensive, and those costs are passed on.

So the reality eventually shows itself: higher fuel prices raise the cost of everything. The only thing that changes is whether admitting it fits the liberal narrative.
