For those that call Albertans who favour independence "traitors", I would like to point out that for many years Liberal Ottawa claimed that Canada was a post-national state and that our country has no core values.

Ottawa also stated that millions of foreigners who were rubber-stamped into the country by the Liberal government were just as Canadian as anyone who was born here or whose family had been building here for generations. And, as an added bonus, that tens of millions more foreigners would continue to flow here with Canadian taxpayers subsidizing the whole mass immigration process.

Ottawa gave away tens of billions to foreign countries while poor Canadians suffered.

Globalism was Ottawa's mantra and Canadian nationalism was considered a dirty, xenophobic and bigoted thing.

Taxing Canadians heavily for their "emissions" of CO2 was NOT to benefit Canadians. Quite to the contrary this massive Carbon Tax burden was to enable Ottawa's vanity and virtue signalling to other parts of the world.

Let us recall that any "Canada First" politicians were demonized non-stop by globalist Ottawa year after year, until (of course) it became politically convenient to pivot to the "Elbows Up" anti-American campaign when Ottawa's corrupt politicians wrapped themselves in the Canadian flag and pretended to be the proudest and most loyal of all Canadians.

We remember when China supported the election of multiple Liberal governments and when multiple MPs were accused of being foreign agents. Of course, this was all swept under the rug. Now those aided by China are the good and loyal politicians while Albertans are called traitors.

During all these years Alberta was plundered and abused by Ottawa. Laws were passed to specifically harm Alberta's economic development. Alberta was ridiculed in Ottawa as redneck, polluting knuckle-draggers who didn't understand or fit-in with Ottawa's inspired progressive, socialist plans.

In every election it was the Eastern voters who would choose the political party that ruled over Alberta from Ottawa.

The Maritimes and Quebec would be overrepresented in the Senate and House of Commons and Alberta would be underrepresented. And, of course, when Albertans tried to elect Senators, this was ignored and Liberal appointees were chosen instead.

Let us also recall that Albertans passed a referendum to end the highly plunderous "Equalization" program, but Ottawa completely ignored this. Why should Ottawa care what Albertans voted for in a referendum, right?

In the end, Albertans and Canadians were all betrayed by Ottawa. It has been the case for years and years. But, go ahead and call Albertans the "traitors". See what that gets you. We're used to this behaviour by our Laurentian abusers. The name-calling will only harden our beliefs and determination.

Each and every day more and more Albertans are signing the petition for Alberta's independence. We know the only way forward to a free and prosperous future for our children and grandchildren lies in an independent Alberta. That is now our goal.
