While I can appreciate your diligence at getting this fixed once and for all, I don't think Cathy Jacobs considers the impact on her business minimized at all. The line isn't even running under her establishment, her parking lot will be used for a staging area. That's vastly different than running a new line under her business.
I have seen this city undertake projects only to change their mind and bulldoze the whole thing and start over again. A good example is the bike path that ran between Stony Trail and 112th. Several years ago, a brand new paved path opened and was open for only a few months. When 112th was repaved the bike path was demolished. I'm not even sure anybody had used...
So with the debate on Alberta separation / independence, one thing keeps coming back to me. With the way that Alberta is being treated, would we join Canada under this treatment and these terms? If the answer is no, which should be obvious, then why stay?
That brings up the next aspect. So, we take this to the personal level. We see what is going on and look at it the same way. So why stay? Especially as we see what is coming with Ottawa courting the WEF and the bills about censorship and CBDC among other bills. But how many see this and are willing to do something? I’m not saying it will be easy but why stay in an abusive relationship? What are your thoughts?
