Here's a thought...call me crazy but....what do you think?
Trump didn't share any intel about the Venezuela strike so Carney wouldn't have known anything about it.
Carney did screw up by not endorsing pipelines. Carney has all the elbows up people in his pocket and will use this tactic again.
Trump has made the left in the US and Canada side with an evil dictator in Maduro which is ironic and crazy but that's the left.
Trump has also made the left in Canada start being concerned about Canadian (ie Alberta) oil! Who had that on their bingo card?
Ergo...this might push Ottawa to start actually supporting pipelines in Canada to get Alberta oil to other markets rather than just pretending. What are those other markets? Asia? Hmmm....
Trump has just shown that he will not suffer anyone supplying the enemies of the USA - China, Russia, Iran, Turkey - with oil.
So I find it hilarious that Eastern Canadians would now be concerned about the oil industry and this might bode well for Alberta - maybe that will be the angle Danielle takes when she finally comments on this situation - and we end up getting pipelines to tidewater.
Trump will still be keeping Canada in check regarding who we sell our oil to - and I think he will want us to still sell to the US.

The government would take care of healthcare
Education would be “free”
Inequality would be fixed
Private ownership was the problem, the state knew better than families
And each time power shifted away from individuals, families, and the private sector, it shifted toward the government.
By the time shortages appeared, opposition voices were silenced, guns were confiscated, and elections were “paused,” it was already too late.
You don’t lose freedom all at once—you trade it away one comforting policy at a time.
This is not about left vs. right.
This is about human nature and power.
Every system that concentrates power in the hands of the state eventually demands obedience instead of consent.
History shows this again and again—whether under socialism, communism, or any ideology that replaces God, ...
