Removing the good-faith religious defence (s.319(3)(b)) violates Canadians' inalienable protected rights, including:

Freedom of religion & conscience (s.2(a))
Freedom of thought, belief, opinion & expression, including press (s.2(b))
Freedom of peaceful assembly & association (s.2(c)(d))
Equality rights (s.15) – by targeting Christian speech while bowing to outside pressure

There is no such thing as hate speech; there is only speech you hate.

FURTHER, Bill C-9 is not just a threat against Biblical teaching on moral issues, it also threatens our sovereignty. Bill C-9 claims to address the rising hate being spewed in our streets. However, instead of naming the chief source of this hate - Islam - and dealing with that threat head on, it legitimizes Islam as a religion at the expense of the religious defence protecting Christianity. The fact is, Islam is a ‘foreign’ political/military/legal system whose core texts command the replacement of our laws with Islamic (Sharia) law, and the destruction of our Christian foundation. According to Islam's own teaching, Islam is not a religion (https://rumble.com/v6tey5z-islams-deception-countering-sharia-with-tanya-gaw-and-john-guandolo.html 46:55), and therefore does not qualify for religious protection. Any group or individual that adheres to Islamic doctrine has no rightful place at Canada’s table, zero say in our laws, zero influence in our institutions, and zero tolerance from our elected leaders. It is long overdue for this matter to be addressed and any and all accommodations cease and desist; such as the federal government allowing work places to be disrupted by accommodating Ramadan (https://truenorthwire.com/2025/12/federal-employees-asked-to-schedule-breaks-around-those-observing-ramadan/), an Islamic holiday that celebrates the anniversary of the Battle of Badr (AD 624), the brutal conquest of non-Muslims.

It is time for the federal government and every MP to uphold their sworn oath
to protect this Christian nation—and stop appeasing those who seek its destruction.

THEREFORE, I call on you to:

SCRAP Bill C-9 ENTIRELY, or at the very least reinstate the religious defence clause.
Publicly affirm that no Canadian will ever face prosecution for quoting or teaching Biblical Scripture.
Reject any amendment that allows Biblical texts to be categorized as unlawful speech or "hate" speech.
Name the perpetrators behind the rising hate in Canada and deal with them directly instead of targeting and criminalizing Christians.
Follow the example of other countries designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization (Jordan Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Syria, Russia,Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the United States of America - Texas and Florida to date).
