When the number of teachers is divided by the number of students the ratio is 21:1.
What is the ATA doing with the teacher teacher positions that is screwing with the ratios. I hope in the next year DS does a major investigation into education dollar allocation and teacher allocation:
“The Alberta Teachers’ Association, the ATA, came back with an offer that didn’t have a snowball’s chance in Hell of being accepted.

The cost of settling with the teachers went from $2.6 billion to $4.6 billion.”

“The premier asks a question sure to make the ATA steamed.

Why with all these certified teachers in the province are we hearing about “unexpectedly large” class sizes?

“That to me suggests a management issue,” says Smith, going down a list of many ways teachers are pulled out of the classroom.

“We have to make sure teachers are allocated to the classroom first.”
