I always try to wait at least 24 hrs before I engage on topics that cause so much emotion in the world. A lot can change in the first couple days and I don’t want to go off half cocked with only half the information and full of emotion. I don’t want to react without time to think it thru.
I’ve talked about it here several times, I believe that there is a tipping point in everything… when a big shift happens. It’s always interesting to me what instigates the tipping point. There was a tipping point in the covid debacle in Canada (the convoy?) . There was a tipping point in the Kenney crisis. (Calling his base lunatics?) There was a tipping point in the US elections (Biden debate? Trump assassination attempt)). And there is a tipping point in the lefty lunacy hunger games. (Could it be Charlie?) Sometimes it’s a very big thing, like a change in leadership and sometimes it seems like a much smaller and less central thing. I mean, if Trump had been, yet again, the target of the lefty lunacy attempt instead of Charlie, I am not sure the earthquake it caused would be nearly as impactful to the common man as when it was another kind, common family man with an open mind, a willingness to listen and an ever present smile who was so hard to dislike. We know the lefties have TDS and Trump is pretty arrogant and disruptive. We expect the loonie left to lose their shit over Trump.
Charlie was wearing body armor. I feel sad that he had to do that. How far we have fallen as free society that a man has to do that to have an open conversation but I have even more respect for him because he must have known there were threats against him and yet he was steady on his path to create a conversation supporting freedom of speech and so strong in his faith.
I believe that Charlie now sits at the right hand of God. He has debriefed him on the details (because we know he likes to have meaningful conversations). It is us who will miss HIM. It is his family that has been the victim. Charlie deserves to be with God in the beautiful place where hate doesn’t exist. Sadly, his children have to go forward without him by their side, although I am sure they will forever feel his presence and guidance.
I also feel very very sad for the shooter’s family. I don’t feel a need to make the shooter famous by ever saying his name. But I feel deeply for the sacrifice his parents were called to make. And the questions they are asking themselves today about what they could have done differently to prevent the radicalization of their son. If you have ever been family of a suicide, you know that there are questions about how you might have contributed or could have prevented it that you carry with you. I am sure his family carries that PLUS all the shame and recrimination that they are likely to get. I wouldn’t have wanted to have to make that decision but I hope I would have been that strong in that situation.
I hope this tragedy strengthens the resolve of those of us on the right to be more like Charlie. Be brave, be open, be kind, and be knowledgable. I hope this spawns more Charlie’s to come forth.
I try not to pray for bad things to happen to people, but perhaps wanting accountability and a change of career and life path for the lunatics who are celebrating Charlie’s death is really not a bad thing. Maybe it will save them from themselves and influencing another generation of lunatics.
Does Danielle really think she can get a "deal" that's going to be realistic from King Carney? I think we all know that's not happening. We need to vote and vote to leave today, yesterday would have been better.
The grief over Charlie's murder is palpable in the energy of the world touching those who never knew him or even saw him in person. The awareness and divide this has created between evil and good is both heartening and frightening, the righteous are more awake than they have ever been in recent history. I believe we have had enough and now we are going to dismantle and restore our society brick by brick. "They" can go live with those they get along with best and "we" will build our cities keeping them out, away from our vulnerable children until we establish what insanity has infected the western world and cure it.
