CBC is frantically trying to censor Dhanrajs as a damage control attempt:
“Journalist Travis Dhanraj publicly resigned from the CBC this week, but his lawyer Kathryn Marshall says Canada’s public broadcaster is “refusing“ to accept his resignation.
Dhanraj resigned publicly on July 7, sending a letter of resignation to executives and an email explaining his decision to colleagues.

Dhanraj said his decision to leave the CBC was driven by an environment that he described as being “defined by retaliation, exclusion, and psychological harm,” adding that “when I pushed for honest conversations about systemic issues and editorial imbalance I was shut out.”
CBC has said Dhanraj remains one of its employees, Marshall said.

“The CBC wants to maintain control over him, that’s really the true reason they’re not accepting his resignation,” Marshall said in a July 9 interview with Candice Malcolm of Juno News. She noted that Dhanraj can’t sue CBC civilly because he is part of their union.
Instead, he plans to pursue legal action in human rights court.
Dhanraj, who headlined the CBC’s now-cancelled Canada Tonight program, has been on a leave of absence since December of last year.
Canada Tonight was axed from the airwaves in February and was replaced by Hanomansing Tonight with Ian Hanomansing.

Marshall’s office said Dhanraj was “strongly discouraged from booking conservative voices” in his capacity as Canada Tonight’s host.

“This won’t be the last we hear from Travis. He is a fighter,” Marshall said in an email to the Epoch Times, adding that her client was “subjected to a toxic and poisoned work environment where he was retaliated against for speaking out and refusing to sign an NDA.”
“He’s their worst nightmare right now,” Marshall said in the interview with Juno News. “Since the story broke my inbox has been inundated.
I have lots of emails from former CBC employees telling me very similar stories to Travis...I'll find this out in the legal proceedings: how many people have they had sign this gag order over the years?”

The network has refuted Dhanraj’s allegations.
Public affairs representative Kerry Kelly previously told The Epoch Times that while CBC is limited in what it can say publicly due to privacy and confidentiality considerations, “CBC categorically rejects the accusations” made about CBC News, its staff and management.

Dhanraj said in a July 7 social media post that he had “no real choice but to walk away,” saying the CBC allowed voices to be “sidelined, hard truths avoided, and the public being left in the dark about what’s really happening inside their national broadcaster.”

Tory MPs sitting on the House of Commons heritage committee have requested hearings be held to discuss Dhanraj’s case and the CBC, according to a July 9 social media post from Conservative MP Rachel Thomas.

Dhanraj worked as a reporter for CBC Toronto and CBC Edmonton before moving to CTV News, CP24, and Global News. He returned to CBC in 2021 to accept a position as its senior parliamentary reporter before being chosen to host the political analysis show Canada Tonight, which began airing in January 2024 and was discontinued in February of 2025.

The veteran reporter and host made headlines last spring for challenging former CBC President Catherine Tait over the network’s executive bonus structure and asking her to appear on his show to discuss his concerns, an invitation that Tait declined.

The future of CBC featured prominently during the most recent federal election. Prime Minister Mark Carney promised a $150 million budget boost while Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre said he would fund Radio-Canada but not the CBC.
CBC/Radio-Canada received $1.38 billion in federal funding during fiscal year 2024-2025.”

This is the law firm representing “former” CBC journalist Travis Dhanraj.
Sounds like they are a young, tenacious, spitfire bunch specializing in work place bullying and toxic workplaces.
“I FOUNDED MARSHALL LAW TO FIGHT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN WRONGED. I AM FEARLESS IN MY APPROACH AND COMMITTED TO GETTING YOU RESULTS"

Marshall Law is all about fighting for you.

We represent people, not companies.

We aren’t afraid to take on big companies, bullies, powerful people, abusers, unions or governments.

Going up against your employer or someone who hurt you can feel intimidating. We will make you feel safe, understood and empowered while fighting for you every step of the way.

Tough battles don’t deter us. Neither does challenging the status quo nor taking on the powerful establishment.

We take the time to understand your case and craft a legal strategy tailored to you.

If you have been wronged, we won’t stop until we get justice and results.”

Congress just fired a major shot at Canada.

-wildfires are out of control

-it’s not climate change

-it’s poor forest management & arson

They want action.

They want this reversed.

The Liberals have ignored this for too long and blamed it on climate change.

It’s ridiculous.
