Voter apathy will be the end of democracy

I was appalled at the percentage of eligible voter turnout. The UCP dropped the ball when it came to getting people engaged and out to vote, I believe they could have turned both ridings if they had just gotten people out.

June 23, 2025 Alberta byelection results:

Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills
Voter turnout 39%

UCP 61%
NDP 20%
RPA 17.5%
WRC 1.2%

Edmonton-Strathcona Voter turnout 32.7%

NDP 82%
UCP 13.6%
LIB 2%
AP 1.2%
RPA 0.7%

Edmonton-Ellerslie Voter turnout 18.3%

NDP 50.8%
UCP 38%
LIB 4.5%
RPA 3.6%
AP 2.7%
WLC 0.5%
