A conservative social media influencer will be launching an online tool for Alberta parents to report instances where teachers and educational workers are bringing ideology into schools, in an effort to hold them accountable.
"This website is fully geared to the teachers that have become little activists in our school districts, and they're trying to create little activists in the schools," said influencer Lawrence Magee, Berta Proud Dad, in an interview with the Western Standard.
"This is a message for them that parents are fed up."
Magee, who often speaks out against political ideology being pushed upon students, said he and others involved decided to launch the tool after numerous parents messaged him with concerns and asked him to help provide a voice.

“Evan Siddall, the former Chief Executive of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, has been named Chair of Build Canada Homes, the federal government's newest housing agency.
The government cited his housing, institutional finance and governance experience, but made no mention of some of the controversies he was involved in in his former role.
Siddall, who left the federal mortgage insurer in 2021, said on a 2019 podcast that Canadians had "glorified this idea of home ownership" and under his leadership the Corporation spent $450,000 of taxpayer money developing and promoting a home equity tax that would have raised an estimated $5.8 billion a year from homeowners.
The federal government only shelved the proposed tax after a public backlash that included then-Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole calling it outrageous and out of touch.
