Perhaps one of my favourite days of the year, the Winter Solstice. I understand the joy it brought Pagans living in the cold, dark northern regions and the promise it holds of brighter and warmer days. I always feel like I’ve accomplished something when I make it to this day with my humour still intact.
I have been busy craft sales and preparing for Christmas since the AGM and will be until Christmas day and then…a rest and a rejuvenate before a busy spring.
I make chocolate turtles, peppermint and skor bark, short bread cookies, butter tarts, nuts and bolts and always a new treat for each of my kids and grandkids “stockings” each year (hot chocolate bombs are always a hit). It’s my tradition for them. What are some of your Christmas traditions?
