Perhaps one of my favourite days of the year, the Winter Solstice. I understand the joy it brought Pagans living in the cold, dark northern regions and the promise it holds of brighter and warmer days. I always feel like I’ve accomplished something when I make it to this day with my humour still intact.
I have been busy craft sales and preparing for Christmas since the AGM and will be until Christmas day and then…a rest and a rejuvenate before a busy spring.
I make chocolate turtles, peppermint and skor bark, short bread cookies, butter tarts, nuts and bolts and always a new treat for each of my kids and grandkids “stockings” each year (hot chocolate bombs are always a hit). It’s my tradition for them. What are some of your Christmas traditions?

Danielle's big address last night did exactly nothing for me, except make me want to collect more signatures so the separation question will be on the ballot. Some people think this muddies the water, but I don't agree, I think it clears the water. I don't give a shit about the other questions, we all know how Albertans feel about all those things, we don't need a referendum.
