Have a good read - take it in. Ralph Kline, was the last conservative premier to finish a full term in office!
Seriously, what does this say about us?
Yes, yes, the leaders aren’t fulfilling our every wish, dream or whim. Yes, yes we have a right to be angry. But, what are we proving? Has this method of tossing our leaders to the curb worked so far? Are we any better off? What have we achieved?
I did not buy an AGM ticket to attend a circus. I bought a ticket to make my concerns known and to vote on policies, to speak directly with Smith and MLA’s.
There are some attending the AGM with only one thing in mind - ousting Danielle - which they have every right to do in a free world. I think we need to show up with open minds and prepared arguments, not grudges and vendettas.
We need to get our message through loud and clear - we do not accept an amended BoR. We will not accept the addition of a new clause that mirrors
Section 1 of the
Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms because we know that will make the Alberta BoR absolutely useless in a court of law. The BoR is THE singular most important issue we must fight for because without it we will once again be beholden to the whims of government decisions. We are free people UNDER GOD - not under the discrepancy of the law.
The rights and freedoms protected by the Charter fall into 7 categories:
• Fundamental freedoms.
• Democratic rights.
• Mobility rights.
• Legal rights.
• Equality rights.
• Official Language rights.
• Minority language educational rights.
ALL made null and void by judges due to their “interpretation” of Section 1.
The burning question is “what can we do”? I don’t think throwing out leader after leader is the solution. We must remember she is the premier of ALL Albertans and they get a say in what they want as well.
A bullet proof BoR is our protection.
Affordability, housing, healthcare, education & immigration are things we can work on and work with government on. We are not going to change the machine overnight. It takes time.
Danielle, is the first premier in a long time that has actually spoke the language we speak. She is up against, not just federal government, but governments of the western world. No one else is speaking out against transgender issues, freedom of bodily autonomy, the right to bear arms. The only other politician that has spoke out against the narrative has been dodging bullets.
We must remain vigilant but we must recognize we aren’t the only citizens of Alberta. Danielle has to govern people with different political affiliations. She can’t please everyone all the time. Would an NDP government care about any of our concerns? Absolutely not. They are a party of a singular one track mind - you MUST accept everything they believe or you will be cancelled. I don’t want a premier that will shut out a portion of the population that don’t agree with her. That’s makes us no better than the left.
Am I angry? Yes! Do I want things to move faster? Yes! Do I want what I want when I want it? Yes! But, I recognize that’s not realistic or how real life works. Patience is a virtue and perseverance is the key to success.
I hope everyone who attends the AGM goes with an open mind. You have a right to vote free from coercion and influence. Just don’t let anger and vengeance be your motivator.
Canada Can't Be Fixed. Alberta Needs to Chart Its Own Course
JEFFREY RATH:
Friends, I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it. Alberta’s future does not lie within a broken, dysfunctional Canada. It lies in our own hands, building an independent Alberta, run by Albertans, for Albertans.
I had the privilege of addressing a room full of hardworking, freedom-loving Albertans recently. If you missed it, I want you to hear exactly what I told them. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and the time for polite conversations is long gone.
The Truth They Don’t Want You to Hear
For over 100 years, Alberta has been treated like Ottawa’s colony. We’ve been stripped of wealth, muzzled by regulation, and told to sit quietly while Eastern politicians decide our fate. Meanwhile, our resources bankroll Quebec’s surpluses and our families pay the price with higher taxes, unemployment, and lost opportunities.
Ottawa’s latest trick? Universal Basic Income to create a nation of dependent voters. Lower the voting age ...
“Every time I look at the latest news from Canada I ask why my province is still part of a dysfunctional country.
I want out, and I can't understand why everyone in Alberta doesn't want the same thing.
Alberta can be so much better. Fortune favours the brave.”

Alberta settles $16-billion coal case
The Globe and Mail Ontario Report on Business
By EMMA GRANEYFri, Jul 4, 2025
Alberta has settled with two of the companies suing the province for a combined $16-billion over the government's flip-flop on coal policy.
Evolve Power Ltd. and Atrum Coal Ltd. say they have reached agreements with the government to resolve their claims alleging the de facto expropriation of their coal assets, according to notices posted to each company's website.
What Albertans will pay the coal mining companies, however, remains unknown.
Both Evolve and Atrum noted that details of the settlement are still being discussed and would remain confidential until they are finalized, but said they expect to update shareholders on the agreements later this year.
Peter Doyle, the chief executive officer of Evolve, told The Globe and Mail he was unable to comment while negotiations are under way.
