Being engaged and attending the UCP AGM as a proud Conservative member is not only time consuming it is nerve wracking. Having to counter the BS from the likes of 1905 and Marco, Marty, Tariq et al is exhausting but it has to be done. There are so many people who don’t have a clue the fight we’ve been engaged in the past few months, the future of the province hinging on a leadership vote this weekend. They live their lives oblivious of the darkness and harm so many are trying to inflict on the people of Alberta spreading half truths and outright lies.
I am pretty proud to be part of a group ready to fight for the good of this Province and our future and hope one day the sleepers will wake up and never even know how their rights and lives were protected by a few Lions.

“Calgary isn’t in decline, it’s being managed into decay.
With the Calgary mayoral election approaching, the mood across the city is unmistakable: frustration. After three terms of Naheed Nenshi and one chaotic term of Jyoti Gondek, Calgary feels stalled. Calgarians don’t want slogans. They want a functioning city again.”
“Farkas’ Flip
Jeromy Farkas once built a reputation as a blunt, law-and-order councillor who rejected trendy causes like defunding the police. That version of Farkas is gone. His 2025 platform is packed with bureaucratic language about “Sector Social Surges” and “empowering prevention partners.” He even highlights “defending 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC Calgarians” as a policing priority.
His “Housing Equity Roadmap” is more of...
Hubby and I just went and voted. What a mess. Sooooo slow. Each electioneer has to fill out a paper form before giving you your ballots. We had to ASK for a school trustee ballot. I informed the fellow that they should be asking which one I want, public or separate. His response “most people don’t want one”. 😳 Then it’s up to THEM to say no thanks.
I don’t know if it was just that electioneer, the polling station or a problem throughout the city but I’m not impressed and concerned. Is it just really poor prep this year or is it deliberate to discourage people? Of course my mind goes there these days because of all the problems in the last 10-15 years.
