🚨 THE $350 MILLION HEADLINE WASN’T EVEN HALF THE STORY.
While Volodymyr Zelenskyy was in Canada, Mark Carney announced approximately $1.066 BILLION in quantified commitments connected to Ukraine.
That includes:
🔴 $350 million for air defence interceptors
🔴 $435 million in loan guarantees
🔴 $200 million in concessional financing
🔴 $22.75 million for security support
🔴 $40.1 million for Ukrainian veterans
🔴 $12 million for energy programs
🔴 $6 million for the return of Ukrainian children
🔴 One third of Canada’s planned drone production
🔴 A new 100 year partnership
To be accurate, $635 million of that total consists of loans and loan guarantees. But Canadians still deserve to know the complete scale of what was announced.
