Edmonton Transit Service bans journalists on properties without permits

The Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) has mandated media notify the City of Edmonton prior to producing journalism on any of its properties.
“Now I need to go to Edmonton to shoot pictures, video and write stories while on ETS property,” tweeted Western Standard columnist and show host Cory Morgan on Tuesday.
“I f*cking dare Edmonton authorities to try and stop me.”
Outside of various media opportunities, ETS said journalists are required to notify the City of Edmonton prior to reporting on its property for the mutual safety of themselves and transit riders.
“This includes transit centres, LRT stations, stops along the Valley Line Southeast and inside all buses and trains,” it said.
“Doing so helps us ensure media activities will not interfere with our ability to provide safe and effective service to riders.”
If people wish to gain access to ETS properties, they can contact ETS Communications. These requests are monitored during weekday business hours, and 24 hours notice is appreciated when possible.
This ordeal comes after the City of Edmonton said in July vulnerable people can turn to ETS spaces to survive because of few options.
“There are safety challenges and more pressures on social services and mental health resources,” it said.
“There isn't enough affordable housing.”

YEGWAVE, a politically neutral Alberta culture and entertainment page with 130K+ followers, asked a simple question: should Alberta leave Canada and become an independent state? More than 8,400 people voted, and 71% said yes.
In contrast, Léger’s latest poll shows just 22% support for Option 2. But here’s the catch: to take part in a Léger poll, you have to sign up for their online panel, fill out a profile, and wait to be selected. Their latest poll surveyed 1,001 Albertans.
So which one is more accurate? An open poll anyone can vote in, or a smaller panel of people who signed up with a polling company?
The truth is probably somewhere in between.
Don’t take any poll presented to you as fact. The only poll that matters is the one on October 19.

I’m getting tired of reading about “died after a short battle with cancer.” Yesterday I attended the funeral of someone I knew from church who died this way. I honestly have no idea if he was vaxxed. I just feel for his wife as this is the second mustard she has outlived. Her first died in a plane crash.
With more and more cases like this it makes me wonder so much. And I’ll never have the answers this side of heaven if ever.
