Hello, I’m Sara-Lyn Quist, my husband Larry and I have been married for 24 years. We have six children ages 7-22.
Originally from Bow Island, we now make our home in Three Hills, which is at the top end of the Southern region.
I’m an active member of our CA board. I ran the satellite campaign office in our town and organized all the volunteers for our riding in the May election.
I also ran a social media initiative during the election called Alberta Speaks, inviting Albertans to Speak Up during the election as to why they were voting conservative and to spread our message further on social media.
I stand for Family - as a mother, I saw how deeply the last 3 years affected our young people. As a daughter I saw how difficult it was for our seniors. As a friend to many, I knew I never wanted to be so deeply divided again by government overreach. I determined that I would do everything in my power to bring confidence to Albertans that they would be listened to in the future.
***I strongly support parental rights and choice in education. If we create strong families, we build strong communities, with that we create a strong province.
I stand for Advocacy - Not only did I stand up for my family, I stood up in my community and my riding. Putting on events and inviting seven MLA's to various meetings plus other speakers so people could get a chance to find out for themselves who they could trust and to connect our politicians to the people who need to be heard. Bringing politics to my community has been very important to me. All political engagement is important and should be encouraged if we’re to see consistent, good governance.
I stand for Integrity -I pledge to every Albertan that my convictions are not for sale. I listen to the values and beliefs of down to earth, common sense Albertans and my voice will represent them.
I am excited to work with our Premier, Danielle Smith. I supported her during the leadership race and the election, hosting several meetings with her. During that time I saw a strength in her to fight for Alberta that I wanted to see come to power. I stand firmly behind what she’s doing in her battle against Ottawa, for the good of Albertans and we as a board need to have her back.
I also want to work with you, engaged members in our UCP party. Together we can create long lasting change. It would be an honour to receive your support on November 4th to be your UCP Southern Director. Please call or email me if you have any questions at [email protected] or at 403-443-8494.
I look forward to meeting you at the United Conservative Party AGM on November 3rd & 4th in Calgary!

From Alberta Separatism Facebook post:
“ I’m Indigenous, and I’m done being bullied by my own people for not parroting bullshit.
I’m Indigenous, and I’m done pretending hard conversations are violence. They’re not. What’s wrong is shutting people up the second they say something uncomfortable.
If you question leadership, money, or who’s really in charge, you don’t get an argument — you get shouted down or threatened. That isn’t reconciliation. That’s fear doing the talking.
Being Indigenous doesn’t mean I owe silence or blind agreement. I don’t owe obedience. I don’t owe fake outrage to prove I belong. Disagreeing isn’t betrayal. Asking questions isn’t hate. And speaking plainly shouldn’t put a target on your back.
None of this denies history or harm. What happened matters. But this is about dealing with reality now, instead of letting politicians and bureaucrats weaponize the past forever.
That’s why I’m writing this.
Albertans are tired. Not hateful. Just tired. Tired of ...
I had such high hopes
Backed by a biased national media, Ottawa's Laurentian elites are using heavy-handed federal policies to dismantle Alberta’s wealth by design.
The federal government often makes decisions that negatively affect the well-being of Albertans. Since the Liberals’ election in 2015, many of these decisions have been harmful to Alberta by design. The Liberals want to fight climate change, and they think Alberta’s oil and gas industry is the main contributor. Therefore, imposing heavy-handed policies to restrict Alberta’s major source of wealth will achieve their goals.
It should not be lost on Albertans that the politicians imposing these harmful policies were not elected here. They were elected in places like Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. Politicians elected in other parts of Canada impose policies on Alberta that lead to economic hardships and job losses. Since they are elected elsewhere, they don’t pay any political price ...
